Our annual sports day will be occurring this year on the 18th of July 2015 where students of Essex Tamil Academy will be participating. All students will be divided into four main teams (based on our school's house system). The four houses are Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. These houses have been created under the name of four major warriors in the struggle back in Sri Lanka. These houses have been dedicated in memory of those who fell for the well-being of our community. The following rules apply :-
---A student can participate to a maximum of three games.
---The judges' decision is final.
---The games chosen must be appropriate for the age. For more information, see below.
---Parents/Guardians must stay in the seated area during the day. The parents are prohibited from entering the sports grounds.
---A student who is in group four or higher, must participate in at least one running event.
---The application form for the Sports Day must be submitted with £5 by the deadline 03.07.2015.

Group System
Group 1 :- 4 or 5 years old Group 2 :- 6 or 7 years old Group 3 :- 8 or 9 years old Group 4 :- 10 or 11 years old Group 5 :- 12 or 13 years old Group 6 :- 14 or above years old The age must be calculated for the 30.06.2015 i.e. what age they will be on this date. |
The first table applies to boys and the second table applies to girls.
